The Long Journey of Editing Continues
Well, yesterday I finally got my play to a point where I felt I could send it off to be read. I was in this sort of torpid haze all day, writing feverishly and not eating or obeying other bodily functions, but it was all worth it because I emerged victorious, having completed my 3rd draft for viewing. Now let the uncomfortable feelings of doubt and uncertainty about it’s quality begin!!!!

Editing is hell…but it is an absolute necessity if you wish to compose finely crafted prose. It took me over 3 years to complete my novel SO DARK THE NIGHT and the sheer amount of revising…I shudder to think of it. But that’s part of an author’s job and if he/she does it properly, the book/magazine editor’s task is limited to (merely) one of proof-reading and spell-checking.
Good luck with your project.
